Hiller Park 5.5 or 11 Miles: Jasper and Yvette

Start at Hiller Park and run north along the Hammond Trail ... staying close to the ocean at Murray ... while enjoying stunning views of the ocean and a lovely long downhill ... continuing all the way on the road to the bridge/101 overpass at the north end of Clam Beach. It's only about 5.5 miles ........ one way.  The round-trip is necessary for those who haven't mastered teleportation.

Hammond Trail: Leslie Keig

This is a very popular and beautiful course. Begin at the parking lot for Clam Beach and run south. The trail becomes Letz Avenue at Airport Road, but then becomes the Hammond Trail again and continues to Arcata Bottoms.

Trinidad Head and Trails: Grace Driscoll

Grace Driscoll ran in Trinidad on a 4.05 mile trail run, including College Cove  and Trinidad Head. It's a beautiful run on a nice day. Don't forget to reward yourself with a latte at The Beachcomber.

Patrick's Point in Sue-meg Park: Simona Carini

Sue-meg State Park is 6 miles north of Trinidad. There is a turnoff from Highway 101 and, if you would like a nice tour, take Patrick's Point Drive after stopping for coffee in Trinidad.  The next slide gives a look at a view from the park.

Coastal View from the Rim Trail

Sue-meg State Park has beautiful views of the ocean on the Rim Trail. Although a fairly small park, there are trails winding through the redwoods and along the coast, with a striking view of Agate Beach on the north end of the park. There is free parking outside the park. It is a great picnic location.
