Students at Redwood Coast Montessori ran laps around the school field to earn money for school projects. they challenged themselves to see how many laps they could completed in one hour. All of the K-8th students participated.
Two classrooms would come to the track at a time to run. The run lasted from the start of the school day until after lunch.
Teachers and a few talented 8th graders (when they weren't running) were in charge of marking each student to make sure laps were tallied. Six Rivers Running Club representatives flagged the course and brought the clock to time the runners.
