The Hammond Trail Run begins in Hiller Park. There are parking spots to the left as you pass the speed bump or there is a large parking lot to the right.
The information kiosk is located on the trail just north of the parking area. The map and information poster is stapled on the kiosk.
The start for the TK-2 and the 3-5 runs begin at the post next to the information kiosk. The starting line should be well marked if no one tears the sign down. If the starting marker is gone, start and finish as the post. 6th-8th graders do not start here.
6th-8th graders begin at the orange mark on the trail near the trail to the soccer parking lot. This is also the finish line for 6th-8th graders.
The red marker is the turnaround for the TK-2nd grade runners. There is also a red arrow on the trail.
This log marks the TK-2nd grade turnaround on the other side of the path.
The blue marker is the turnaround for the 3rd-5th graders. There is also a blue turnaround arrow on the trail.
The stairs on the other side of the trail marks the turnaround, too.
The pink marker is the turnaround for the 6th-8th graders. It is just before the trail crosses the road.
This cement water service is the turnaround for the 6th-8th graders.
This is the finish for the TK-2 and 3-5 runners. The 6-8 runners continue to the orange starting line. TK-2nd grade runners run .6 mile,, the 3rd-5th grade runners run one mile and the 6th-8th grade runners run 1.4 miles.
Certificates and randomly chosen awards can be picked up at Ramone's Bakery in the McKinleyville Shopping Center. The awards and certificates can be picked up one week after the event ends.
