The Start/Finish and instructions are located at Perigot Park on Chartin Road, the south side of the park. There is a faded blue arrow on the road that is the actual start/finish line. The instructions explain the first few turns: Turn left at the 2nd stop sign and then right on South Railroad. Stay on the sidewalk to the first turn sign.
After turning onto Hatchery Road, look for the trail to the right. Take a right onto the trail and follow it past the giant statue to the Taylor Way crossing. Look for the sign across the street.
After crossing Taylor Way, follow the trail toward Mad River. The SRRC sign and arrow is sideways on the post. The trail turns left onto the Mad River Levee. Follow it to the next sign at Hatchery Road.
At Hatchery Road, 5K runners go left. When 5K runners get back to the trail, follow the sign to the 2nd lap, which is the same loop you just completed.
10K runners follow the road toward the hatchery. The turnaround is at the top of the hill just before the turn to the Hatchery.
5K runners need to do a second lap on the trail and levee. After the 2nd lap, stay on Hatchery Road and return to Perigot Park and the finish line.
The Hatchery turnaround sign is located where the road splits. The sign has been removed in the past, so note the road closed sign and yellow marker.
After crossing the Mad River on Hatchery Road, take a right on the levee and go past the gate and run over 1/2 mile where there is another sign.
Turn around in front of the levee gate.
Turn right after leaving the levee and run back to the finish line the same way as you began.
